How to Change the ITM Encryption Key
The ITM encryption key defined on the Hub TEMS must be entered during the installation of all agents to enable those agents to connect to the Hub TEMS. That encryption key cannot be configured outside of the agent installations.
If an incorrect key was entered during the installation, or migrating between TEMS with different keys, it is possible to update the key without having to reinstall the agent. The file
$ITMHOME/keyfiles/kae256.ser can be copied from another agent that has the correct encryption key configured.
This technique is useful for the AIX Base agents that may have been pre-installed on the servers.
